Steven and Jeff both went 2-2, but Steven won the Challenge Game where the Cardinals upended the Falcons Cinderella story. The guys discuss the latest NFL News, player awards. Was Manning, Peyton that is, really worthy of the MVP. Steven thinks so, while Jeff was not so sure. Harrison wins Defensive Player of the Year – yeah, OK. The guys discuss BLACK MONDAY, where the Browns, Lions and Jets fire Romeo, Marinelli and Mangini. The guys talk about other coaches that may get the axe. The guys cover the demise of the Cowboys, Broncos, Bears and Bucs. Episode 4.52 - Week 16 Preview - Season 4
12/18/2008

The Colts and Jags start off Week 16 with a bang and the guys are pumped for the great slate of games scheduled for this week. Tony Dungy becomes the first person ever to lead his teams to 10 straight playoff appearances. Yet Dungy says he does not take making the playoffs for granted. Steven discusses the Pro Bowl Selections or rather, the players that did not make the Pro Bowl roster and Jeff doesn’t want to hear it until Steven mentions Steve Slaton getting left off the squad. The guys talk about the Giants and Titans, once seen as the Super Bowl favorites, now both struggling as the Playoffs approach. Plus, Steven and Jeff only differ on one game this week, which makes it the instant Challenge Game. Steven likes the Chargers while Jeff thinks Tampa Bay will take care of business at home.

Episode 4.51 - Week 15 Recap - Season 4
12/15/2008

Week 15 is in the books and Steven and Jeff start some more Dallas Cowboys rumors. Professor Playoffs drops by to give us a clearer understanding of what is going on with two weeks to play. The Chiefs lose their chief as GM Carl Peterson resigns after 20 years with the team. Steven goes over the injuries for the Titans, Vikings and Bucs and Monte confirms that he will join his son, Lane Kiffin, at Tennesse after the season is over. Steven is the smartest man alive beating Jeff on a controversial call and is now only 3 games back of Mort and the computer.

Episode 4.50 - Week 15 Preview - Season 4
12/11/2008

Three weeks left in the 2008 NFL Season and there are plenty of playoff spots left, however after this week, things can be seen much more clear. (Jeff says, “Clearly!”) You’ll get that joke when you hear the show. The guys send their condolences to QB Matt Cassell for the death of his father, and wonder if it will affect the Patriots when they play against Oakland. Steven still feels they should not have stayed on the West Coast. The guys discuss Thursday Night Football where the Bears needed OT to beat the Saints. And then the guys look at the final 15 games of the week and NO, nobody thinks the Lions will beat Indy this week! Challenge Game is Steelers vs Ravens, as Steven goes with the Steelers and Jeff sides with rookie Flacco and the Ravens.

Jeff is the smartest man alive but not because he made the right pick, Steven says it was because Wade Phillips did not go for the jugular. The Cowboys loss but now are in the 6th spot in the playoffs, the Jets lose again, this time to the 49ers and are now in danger and did the Bills make a mistake playing in Canada. The guys recap all 16 games of the week and Steven feels the playoffs right around the corner and is getting amped up. Plus NFL News brings us another good ol' boy and nakedness in the NFL. What?

The Playoff picture is getting clearer and Week 14 brings you 7 playoff intensive games. The Chargers start the week off by spanking the Raiders at home. Find out why Jeff thought the Chargers might lose this game. You heard it here, Steven tells Jeff when to come over to record punishment videos, and this week Jeff has a chance to win his second of the year as Steven puts it all on the line when the Cowboys play the Steelers. Plus a look at the Plaxico-Pierce-NY Giant situation and the courts getting involved with player’s suspensions.

Episode 4.47 - Week 13 Recap - Season 4
12/02/2008

Jeff fights off a 10 hour drive from the bay area and Steven fights off a stomach flu to bring you the 47th show of the season, and what a week it was. Plaxico Burress is in trouble with the law and suspended by the Giants for the rest of the year. The bigger blow could be LB Antonio Pierce, if it is found that he is accountable for obstructing justice. That would hurt the Giants more than just losing Plaxico. Jeff has an off-week in picks going 9-7 but he is still the smartest man alive winning the Challenge Game. But that doesn’t matter, as Steven catches Jeff in overall picks, with only 4 weeks to go. Plus a look at all 16 games and Jeff unwillingly takes the Chargers for Thursday night.

Episode 4.46 - Week 13 Preview - Season 4
11/25/2008

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! This is the shortest show of the season as Steven and Jeff break for the Thanksgiving holidays. The guys differ on six games this week, as Steven picks Jeff’s games before Jeff himself. In NFL News, McNabb gets the start in Philly, the Redskins cut ties with the Alexander, Mike Vick is in the news, Week 12 sets an NFL record for points scored in one week and hear the top 5 things that are acceptable to say only during Thanksgiving. Steven and Jeff disagree about the Green Bay Packers, and if the Lions beat the Titans on Thanksgiving, will that make it the biggest regular season upset ever in the NFL. Jeff likes the Texans for the Challenge Game.

Episode 4.45 - Week 12 Recap - Season 4
11/24/2008

No more undefeated teams, as Week 12 turns out to be blow-out central. 11 of the 16 games were decided by 17 points or more, including the Jets over the Titans, prompting RB LenDale White to complain publicly about not getting enough touches, saying “He did not care” about the loss since he only got to play in three plays. Philadelphia has real issues now, as QB McNabb gets benched in the second half of the 36-7 beat down in Baltimore. Steven says Andy Reid needs to go, and that Carson Palmer just needs to forget this season and go get surgery. Steven also thinks it's time folks start looking at the Jets as a real good team. Plus Jeff has another punishment coming, as Steven wins the second Challenge Game in a row.

Episode 4.44 - Week 12 Preview - Season 4
11/20/2008

Week 12 starts with a bang, as the Steelers pound the Bengals 27-10 to start the week. The Bengals deactivate Ocho Cinco because he violated team rules. Hey Cincinnati, you are 1-9-1, what could he have possibly done that was so bad, you would sit him out one game? Injuries are running rampant throughout the league, and the NFC East is getting hit hard. The Cowboys put rookie RB Felix Jones on the IR and Steven asks for some consistency from the Cowboys. Steven gives you his 6 team parlay lock, which includes 6 underdogs on the road, which Steven sees winning the games outright. Jets-Titans games is the Challenge Game this week, as Steven continues to drink the Favre kool-aid and takes the Jets while Jeff thinks the Titans will remain perfect. Plus the guys get a surprise from none other than Georgie Thompson.

Episode 4.43 - Week 11 Recap - Season 4
11/18/2008

The guys are back from Jacksonville, and they thank the Captains of the USS Carney and USS Simpson. In Jacksonville, Steven says, they might have seen the best team in the NFL as the Titans beat the Jags 24-14. Steven becomes the smartest man alive as the Cowboys beat the Redskins and Jeff loses the challenge game. During NFL News, Steven and Jeff start with QB Donovan McNabb as he does not know the rules concerning ties. Jeff wants to give him the benefit of the doubt, but Steven feels McNabb should be ashamed for not knowing the rules regarding ties. McNabb gets “Boob O The Day!”

Episode 4.42 - Week 11 Preview - Season 4
11/13/2008

NO MORE BYE WEEKS! Week 11 is here and it started with a bang. Huge Game of the Week between the Jets and Patriots and boy did it deliver. It took overtime, but the Jets win in New England. Steven teases a rant on Mangini, but never gets to it. Steven and Jeff reveal that the weekly picks are on, slightly behind the computer and Mort. In NFL News, the guys look at the Broncos struggling at RB, QB injuries and the return of Hasselbeck and Romo. This week, as the guys travel to Jacksonville, the guys differ on who will win in Jacksonville, and Jeff may wear an MJD jersey. Steven picks the Cowboys to represent and makes it the Challenge Game.

Episode 4.41 - Week 10 Recap - Season 4
11/10/2008

Steven and Jeff take a look at the records as they stand now. Jeff points out the AFC East and South and NFC East and South are tough while the North and West divisions leave much to be desired. The 49ers took the Cards to the end, but in the end, their final 40 seconds were horrid. The Jets sign Ty Law to come back and face his old team, the Patriots, Clinton Portis may miss the Cowboys game and some sympathy for the Patriots from Steven. No Way! Steven goes 12-2 and it looks like Jeff was right in drinking the Matt Ryan Kool-Aid to win the challenge game, but missed on all the other games he picked different from Steven. Plus a look at all 14 games in Week 10 and check the forum for our upcoming Jacksonville trip.

Episode 4.40 - Week 10 Preview - Season 4

Thursday Night Football begins on NFL Network, and since the Browns cannot hold a lead to save their lives, both Steven and Jeff start out the week 0-1. The guys discuss the sanity of Raiders owner Al Davis, and the possibility of the Commissioner having to step in and save the organization. The Raiders cut CB DeAngelo Hall after only 8 games on the roster making him available to every other team in the league. Steven and Jeff look at the Browns loss to the Broncos and make their picks for Week 10, as the Saints/Falcons game becomes the Challenge Game of the Week. Jeff maybe drinking the Falcons Kool-Aid.

Week 9 is in the books, and with the loss of the Redskins, hello to President Barack Obama. The final Redskins home game before a presidential vote has decided the presidential outcome since the turn of the century. The guys briefly talk about the candidate’s appearance on ESPN Monday Night Football before talking about some NFL News. QB Brady Quinn gets the start Thursday Night against the Broncos. QBs continue to go down in the NFL, and the Bengals get their first win. Plus the guys cover the 14 games and Steven explains why he always picks the Cowboys even when he knows they are destined to lose.

Just two more weeks of byes on the schedule. Steven and Jeff get ready for Week 9. Jeff still has Georgie on the brain, but that does not stop Steven from getting in some NFL News. Both guys have a RAVE and Steven throws a shout out to his new team, the Tottenham Hotspurs. The guys discuss Singletary dropping his pants and the latest on injuries around the league. Steven and Jeff disagree on five games this week, and the Game of the week is the Challenge Game as Steven takes Pittsburgh and Jeff takes Washington.

Episode 4.37 - Week 8 Recap - Season 4

Steven and Jeff return from London and get to going over Week 8. Even after some last minute changes, the guys both still go 9-5, but the Cowboys did beat the Bucs. The guys share some stories from their London trip. Steven throws a shout out to Katie and Katy and has a “How You Doin’?” for SkySports News’ Georgie Thompson. Whoa Nellie! The guys go through some news, like San Diego firing defensive coordinator Ted Cottrel instead of getting rid of Norv Turner, and another player makes a guarantee. Come on Housh! T.J. – hush up and play football and don’t make silly guarantees.

Episode 4.36 - Week 8 Preview - Season 4

The guys prepare to go to London. London Baby! After a quick looks at the NFL News, the Browns need to be quarantined and not just for suspending TE Kellen Winslow Jr., but for trying to keep it hush, hush. Why are the Packers whining about Brett Favre now? You got rid of him, he moved on – now you move on! Plus injured QB Tony Romo says he is out until after the bye week. The guys take a look at 14 games on the schedule, but they agree on all 14 games. Really? Jeff took Tampa Bay over Dallas. Did Steven really pick against his team? Say it ain’t so! Since Steven and Jeff agree on all 14 games, there is no Challenge Game this week.

Episode 4.35 - Week 7 Recap - Season 4
10/20/2008

Steven suffers one of the worst weeks of picks ever in his short prognosticating career and Jeff is as giddy as Tom Cable for going 11-3 for Week 7. The Cowboys get blasted, and Steven lets them know they are not only in danger of no longer competing for the division, but Playoffs? Playoffs? Steven just hopes they can win another game. The Titans blast KC and lay claim to the league’s best team at 6-0. The 49ers try to copy the Raiders and fire their head coach. Bye bye Mr. Nolan! Hello Mike Singletary. Jeff wins another Challenge game and lets Steven know about it.

Episode 4.34 - Week 7 Preview - Season 4

Steven and Jeff get ready for London, but first take a look at Week 7. Steven reads from Adam Schefter from NFL Network saying the NFL is more than Dallas. Come on people! The guys discuss the Chiefs suspending RB Larry Johnson for one game. Really? The Lions give up on the season and the Bengals QB Carson Palmer thinking about 2009 already. Jeff calls Steven a Jerk and messes with his mama. Those are fighting words, and the guys differ on five of the 14 games this week. Jeff takes Carolina at home while Steven goes with the Saints to win him his fourth straight Challenge Game.

Episode 4.33 - Week 6 Recap - Season 4

Week 6 brings plenty of surprises. The mighty have fallen and the fallen become mighty, if only for a week. The injury bug finally catches up to the Dallas Cowboys, as QB Tony Romo, RB Felix Jones, WR Sam Hurd and P Matt McBriar all will miss significant playing time due to injury. The Redskins bring in Shaun Alexander and the Browns show they can play on Monday Night. Jeff RAVES on the Monday Night crew and the guys do a short show going over the 14 Week 6 games. Chargers blow out the Patriots to give Steven another Challenge Game win.

Week 6 Preview show brings out plenty of mini rants from Jeff. The guys discuss Adam Jones’ scuffle with his body bodyguard. The Cowboys say no punishment is necessary, but no word yet from the commissioner’s office. WR Marvin Harrison is getting sued for by the individual that got shot in the hand with Harrison’s gun. The guys talk about the injury bug hitting many teams this season. Steven and Jeff then take a look at all 14 games this week and give you their picks. Big huge challenge game this week as Jeff takes New England while Steven takes San Diego at home.

Jeff is sad that the quarter mark is almost here in the NFL season, and Steven is just SAD. He is near death with this illness, and may need to take next week off. The guys breakdown all 13 games as BYE weeks are officially here. Lions, Colts, Patriots, Dolphins, Giants and Seahawks all get the week off and Steven and Jeff only disagree on two games. Arizona @ NY Jets is the Challenge game.

Week 3 is over and IT’S ABOUT TIME! No, not that the week is over – it’s about time the Lions consider getting rid of Matt Millen. Millen’s Lions have not won more than 7 games in any season and Bill Ford Jr. said if it were up to him, Millen would be fired! Bout Time! Kiffen still in at Oakland but for how long? WOW – what a week 2 in the NFL. The Jets are not ready to take over from the Pats, the Vikings settle for field goals and lose, the NFC is getting hotter than the AFC and the San Diego Chargers get the short end of the stick in Denver. Thanks Ed Hochuli!!! Since Jeff won the Challenge game by virtue of horrible call, he goes easy on Steven by making him sing Barry Manilow song. The guys then breakdown all 15 games. Why only 15 games, because the Texans and Ravens were given a bye week thanks to Ike. Plus the guys play Pretender or Contender with some early season 2-0 teams.

The guys remember September 11th as they prepare to take a look at the sixteen games on the slate for Week 2. The first week of the season had plenty of surprises and there are plenty of great matchups set for Week 2. In NFL News, Jeff Garcia disagrees with head coach Jon Gruden, saying he is ready to play, the Patriots look to life after Brady, T.O. talks about McNabb and there are plenty of upsets ready for Week 2.
